Joan Hill

Dr. Joan Hill, a member of Forefront Living’s Board of Directors, is a recognized leader in experiential learning. She is a passionate advocate for excellence in early childhood education and independent school leadership. Joan recently retired after her fifteenth year of service as Catherine M. Rose Head of School for Lamplighter School in Dallas.

Before joining Lamplighter, Joan served as Lower School Head at Columbus School for Girls in Ohio and previously taught at Hawken School and University School, both also located in Ohio.

Joan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in organizational communications from Ohio University, completed postgraduate studies in educational leadership from John Carroll University and earned a Doctor of Education in organization leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2023, Joan was an EMM Luncheon Honoree and is also currently active as a trustee on several nonprofit boards.

Vicky Riley

Vicky Riley, a new member of Forefront Living Foundation’s Board of Trustees, has been engaged with the Forefront Living Foundation for several years. She was a founding member of Faithful Friends, has been involved with the Each Moment Matters luncheon since 2018 and is invested in the organization’s mission to make each moment matter for those we serve.

Vicky has worked in the communications field for more than 30 years, providing strategic counsel and marketing communications management in the agency, corporate and nonprofit sectors. She has extensive experience in event planning, media relations and cause marketing. In 2013, Vicky launched Riley Communications, serving nonprofit and for-profit clients nationwide.

Vicky is a graduate of Duke University and stays busy volunteering with local community organizations including Leadership Dallas, The Junior League of Dallas, Dallas Summer Musicals, Community Partners, Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, Dallas Woman’s Club, Dallas Garden Club, Preston Hollow Women’s Club and Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. She and her husband, Michael, have three adult children and two grandchildren.
